Review: Sabine Swan A Lovely Brooch
Here's the box straight out of the packaging.
So here's something new! A review I've never really done one before but I knew I just had to the moment my sister ordered me this beautiful brooch from Erst Wilder. I have always had a spot in my heart for ducks and swans from reading The Ugly Duckling as a child to attending a ballet recital where the only piece that clung to me was Odette's solo, I thought I couldn't keep my eyes open long enough as the ballerina took the stage. At the end of the performance I realized I'd been crying the spell that had been cast upon me had been so strong I only felt a curious feeling of compassion for the Swan and all her joy and her sorrow. When a friend in high school told me about an anime where a duck whose biggest dream was to dance a pas de deux with a human boy and heal the sadness she felt in his eyes I felt my heart skip a beat. I had to watch it Princess Tutu it turned out was another story of a duckling who longed to be a human and who sacrificed herself as a swan to save a prince she adored, another story of a swan that I fell in love with. As soon as Black Swan came out I watched it with bated breath I grieved and rejoiced and was haunted with Natalie Portman's character for the swan held a sacred place in my heart. Needless to say my love affair with swans has been long and never-ending and continues until this day, that's how I knew this brooch was meant for me.
