Here's the box straight out of the packaging.
So here's something new! A review I've never really done one before but I knew I just had to the moment my sister ordered me this beautiful brooch from Erst Wilder. I have always had a spot in my heart for ducks and swans from reading The Ugly Duckling as a child to attending a ballet recital where the only piece that clung to me was Odette's solo, I thought I couldn't keep my eyes open long enough as the ballerina took the stage. At the end of the performance I realized I'd been crying the spell that had been cast upon me had been so strong I only felt a curious feeling of compassion for the Swan and all her joy and her sorrow. When a friend in high school told me about an anime where a duck whose biggest dream was to dance a pas de deux with a human boy and heal the sadness she felt in his eyes I felt my heart skip a beat. I had to watch it Princess Tutu it turned out was another story of a duckling who longed to be a human and who sacrificed herself as a swan to save a prince she adored, another story of a swan that I fell in love with. As soon as Black Swan came out I watched it with bated breath I grieved and rejoiced and was haunted with Natalie Portman's character for the swan held a sacred place in my heart. Needless to say my love affair with swans has been long and never-ending and continues until this day, that's how I knew this brooch was meant for me.
Opening the box was if anything more exciting than opening the package itself! I didn't actually take a picture of the package since it had addresses and all but it came in a express delivery package. Express really means express I didn't wait more than five days for my brooch and was even pleasantly surprised for it to have arrived today. The shipping was the fastest of anything I 've ever ordered, and the fact that it came all the way from Australia was even more amazing.

On the back of the business card was this wonderful quote.
Lifting up the business card lo and behold a box, inside a box with tissue paper surrounding it that to me looked like little bushes surround the box that held my swan.
Opening the box I was greeted by my beautiful brooch and a description that made me giggle a little too loudly on the shuttle to meet my friend. I think the description was very fitting and everything was packaged so beautifully and securely both the boxes were made of a very sturdy cardboard. Overall I was really impressed with everything the shipping was so fast, the packaging was flawless no dents or damage at all and the brooch was in pristine condition. Erst Wilder doesn't only sell brooches though I really suggest you take a gander at the website who knows you might find something that speaks to you the way this brooch spoke to me.
Here are some close up's the brooch the front and the back view.
Here is a size comparison of the brooch compared to some objects I had lying around a pair of glasses and my feathered hair accessory. It's actually a really nice size not too small and not too bulky or big.
Here I'll leave you with the Princess Tutu opening because it's really quite beautiful.
