Happy Christmas~ How did the 24th & 25th treat you? I had the most amazing two days filled with much laughter and warmth with all my family. This year I didn't ask for anything for Christmas except my own cake pans since I'd been borrowing my Grandmother's to bake but I was in the surprise of my life on the evening of the 24th!
When do you celebrate Christmas? In my family the tradition is we cook all day the 24th and then around 8 pm we have dinner, we then sing songs and dance until a few minutes before midnight. The children all go and pretend to be asleep for Santa won't come if you are awake! The clock strikes twelve at midnight and through the hushed house a loud banging can be heard at the door that's the cue for the children to race to the door and see what Santa has brought. We then end up staying up late into the AM dancing, talking and playing with our new toys.
My grandmother as a fun surprise bought a gingerbread house kit for us to build and so my sisters & I got to work. We had no idea what we were doing so our house almost fell apart but in the end it turned out really cute. We made the house pastel green and pink and somehow managed to get the gumdrop decorations to stay. A gingerbread house is actually a lot of work. I can't wait to eat it during the week!
This year my extended family didn't come to visit so we had a rather small keyed down Christmas but it was still so much fun, I had a lot of fun with my sister's helping bake cookies and mix salad for the big meal. I received alot of really lovely gifts form my family and my sister's boyfriends who came to spend the Christmas Eve with us.
Before school got out I met with my scholarship mentor and she had brought me a gift, I was so touched! She'd remembered I was vegetarian but loved chocolate so she bought me a vegan bar of dark chocolate it tasted so amazing! She also bought me a $25 gift card which was really sweet of her now I have to think of something to spend it on

Santa knows me very well! I have an extreme weakness for cats whenever I see a cat I must go befriend it regardless of the location and the Aristrocats is one of my favorite Disney films! I love anything warm scented and just recently ran out of my orange blossom lotion so that was really spot-on. I also got my own cake pans I'm so excited to bake double layer cakes now

My sister's boyfriend's bought me gifts I was really amazed I hadn't expected them too! They both know me so well, my younger sister's boyfriend got me fuzzy penguin socks and body spray I love cute things!
My twin sister's boyfriend bought me Japanese sweets the way to my heart is through sweets and he knows me too well he also got me the cork necklace & radish earrings Luna Lovegood wears in the Harry Potter films. I was really happy and thankful

I'm so happy I got a bunch of really adorable clothes to add to my wardrobe!
I love dresses, if it was up to me I'd only ever wear dresses and skirts! I got this beautiful plum dress and peachish pink sequined dress.
I have a strong attraction to turtle necks and stripes so this was the perfect sweater. I also got a black high-waisted skirt which I've been wanting for sometime
My twin sister actually picked this out for me it's a cat-eared backpack! I tickled pink to have this and can't wait to use it

The gift the took the cake and blew me completely by surprise was the gift my grandparent's gave me. I'd been saving up money for sometime now to get a sewing machine and my grandparent's must have overheard me. They blew me out of the water when they handed me this huge box, I cried so hard. I am going to work so hard and make so many things with this.
I received more than I could have ever hoped or asked for and I'm so thankful for all the wonderful people in my life. I hope your days were joyful too. Thank you so much for reading.
x Anna
