I love your Funny Face, Your Funny, Sunny Face

I'd be lying if I didn't say I loved Audrey Hepburn actually she's my favorite actress, my inspiration for my slowly evolving clumsy sense of style and for my vow to aways put the needs of other's before mine and to volunteer, volunteer, volunteer and make the world a better place. I wasn't exactly faithful to her outfit in Funny Face but I was inspired by it. I have a funny face I know I don't fit into the conventional definition of pretty. I don't even reach five foot, I have tan skin, frizzy curly hair, and a body with hardly any curves, I get mistaken for a child, and high schooler on a regular basis. I'm not represented in any of the books or magazines I see, even the "hispanic" beauties I see are fairer skinned, with pin straight hair or thick waves and curves that could rival Marylin, with faces that could inspire poetry. For the longest time I was convinced I'd never be beautiful I tied my hair back everyday and wore different variations of the same outfit because I was sure it wouldn't change anything. Since then I've learned to embrace my uniqueness, years after I've met people they'll recognize me before I've put a name to a face and every time I ask  how? they always reply "it's because no one else looks like you do". I hope you all can embrace your own uniqueness.

We went adventuring to Winter Park today and it really was so wonderful and charming. It would be the perfect place to go on a date with friends (or a charming beau?!). I'll have a post up tomorrow with just photos of where we explored because it was all really beautiful. Have you visited anywhere beautiful recently? I'd love to hear about it! Especially if it's in Florida I'd love to visit more lovely places.
