Anna not quite from Green Gables

Today's OOTD is inspired by one of my favorite literary heroines Anne of Green Gables. When I was younger I vehemently wished I had been born with fiery red hair and a generous amount of freckles. I used to sit out in the sun with lemon juice on my face trust me a few awful face peeling episodes later and I had learned my lesson. I may never by Anne in appearance but I can channel her plucky dreamy character in my everyday life.

This skirt is very twirl worthy and who can blame a girl for twirling after its in a sea foam color and everyone knows mermaids love to dance (The Little Mermaid anyone?). This is an entirely vintage outfit minus the pins borrowed from my sister, the purse from Modcloth and the anklet a gift from my childhood. The shirt and skirt are straight out of my mums closet and the oxfords and black belt are thrifted.
